Sullivan, Qatar PM discussed potential ceasefire for hostage release

WASHINGTON: White House National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan and Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani met Tuesday and discussed a potential ceasefire in exchange for the release of hostages held in Gaza, the US said in a statement.

Sullivan and Al Thani agreed to stay in regular contact, according to the statement from the White House.
