RIYADH: Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan arrived in Rio de Janeiro on Wednesday to attend the G20 Foreign Ministers’ Meeting, reported Saudi Press Agency.

During the two-day event he is set to discuss important international challenges and explore ways to collectively achieve global prosperity against a backdrop of challenges and conflicts such as the Israel-Hamas and Russia-Ukraine wars. He will also meet with his counterparts from other nations.

Brazil took over the G20 presidency from India in December last year. The Brazilian president, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, has voiced his country’s hopes that the forum will “positively influence the international agenda.”
