RIYADH: The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority at Haditha port has intercepted an attempt to smuggle 1,683,000 Captagon pills into the Kingdom, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Sunday.
The contraband was discovered concealed within the tires of a truck during a routine inspection.
The authority has reiterated its commitment to bolstering customs controls regarding Saudi Arabia’s imports and exports, stressing its ongoing collaboration with partners such as the General Directorate of Narcotics Control.
It has urged the public to help in the fight against smuggling, emphasizing the importance of community involvement in safeguarding society and the national economy.
