Saudi defense minister meets South Korean counterpart in Riyadh

RIYADH: Saudi Minister of Defense Prince Khalid bin Salman held a meeting with South Korea’s Minister of National Defense Shin Won-sik at the World Defense Show in Riyadh on Sunday.

The two ministers discussed relations between Saudi Arabia and South Korea, highlighting strategies to strengthen ties in the military and defense sectors.

They presided over the signing of a preliminary memorandum of understanding between the Kingdom’s Ministry of Defense and South Korea’s Defense Acquisition Program Administration.

Saudi Deputy Minister of Defense Prince Abdulrahman bin Mohammed bin Ayyaf and several senior officials from the ministry attended the meeting and signing ceremony.

South Korean Ambassador to the Kingdom Choi Byung-Hyuk and a number of high-ranking officials from the South Korean side also attended the ceremony.
