RIYADH: Saudi aid agency, KSrelief, distributed more than 4,500 food parcels for displaced families in war-hit Gaza, Sudan, and Afghanistan, state news agency (SPA) reported.
The team distributed essential food items in Khirbat al-Adas, located east of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip, in coordination with the Palestinian Red Crescent as part of a campaign to provide relief to the Palestinians amid intense Israeli bombardment.
In Sudan’s Khartoum, 16,677 individuals received 2,000 food baskets, while 2,155 families, comprising 12,903 people, got 2,155 food baskets in Al-Damir locality of the Nile River State.
KSrelief also secured 400 food baskets for 2,400 individuals in Pachir Aw Agam district of the Nangarhar province in Afghanistan, as part of a project to support Afghans returning from Pakistan.
“This aid is a manifestation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's significant humanitarian role, facilitated by KSrelief, in supporting countries during times of crisis,” read SPA statement.
