Riyadh to host international marine exhibition on Sunday

RIYADH: Companies from around the world are set to take part in the third Saudi International Marine Exhibition and Conference, which opens on Feb. 4.

Organized by the Saudi National Fisheries Development Program, the three-day event will be held at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center under the supervision of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture.

Some 3,000 people are set to attend the exhibition, which will showcase the products and services of more than 120 companies from 35 countries.

There will also be workshops, presentations and even cooking competitions.

The fisheries sector is one of the world’s fastest growing sectors and has huge importance in terms of offering food security and providing jobs.

The exhibition and conference aim to provide a platform for the exchange of knowledge and experience in the fields of aquaculture, fisheries and algae, and will also see the signing of several agreements between the Saudi National Fisheries Development Program and international and local organizations.
