RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s Tadawul All Share Index closed at 12,252.81 points on Monday, losing 11.36 points, or 0.09 percent.
The parallel market Nomu also fell 334.31 points, or 1.34 percent, to conclude the day at 24,686.29. Additionally, the MSCI Tadawul 30 Index lost 1.08 points, or 0.07 percent, to finish at 1,596.25.
The main index posted a trading value of SR8.2 billion ($2.2 billion), with 97 stocks advancing and 120 declining. On the other hand, Nomu reported a trading volume of SR17.5 million.
AlJazira REIT was the top performer on TASI as its share price surged 9.94 percent to SR19.90. Al-Baha Investment and Development Co. also jumped 7.14 percent to SR0.15.
Saudi Electricity Co. was also among the top performers, climbing 6.47 percent to SR20.42. AlAhli REIT Fund 1 and Walaa Cooperative Insurance Co. increased 6.27 percent and 4.71 percent to SR8.98 and SR19.58, respectively.
Conversely, Saudi Pharmaceutical Industries and Medical Appliances Corp. recorded the most significant dip, declining 3.76 percent to SR35.85.
Liva Insurance Co. and Ataa Educational Co. also experienced a fall, with their shares dropping to SR20.44 and SR74.50, reflecting declines of 3.58 percent and 3.50 percent, respectively. Bawan Co. and Scientific and Medical Equipment House Co. also reported significant losses in their share prices.
Nomu’s top performer was National Environmental Recycling Co., which saw a 9.59 percent jump to SR10.40. Paper Home Co. and Obeikan Glass Co. also recorded notable gains, with their shares closing at SR198.20 and SR53.30, marking an increase of 4.98 percent and 2.11 percent, respectively. Armah Sports Co. and Naba Alsaha Medical Services Co. also fared well.
In Nomu, Al Rashid Industrial Co. was the worst performer, declining by 9.58 percent to SR33.05. Other underperformers included Ladun Investment Co. and Osool and Bakheet Investment Co., whose share prices dropped 9.24 percent and 7.64 percent to SR6.48 and SR27.80, respectively.
Advance International Co. for Communication and Information Technology and Ghida Alsultan for Fast Food Co. declined during the day to settle at SR4.41 and SR60.40, respectively.
