Chalhoub Group, a regional retailer and distributor, has launched “The Visitor,” an immersive retail space at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah.

This innovative concept combines luxury and travel, offering passengers access to more than 200 renowned brands across various categories including fashion, beauty, jewelry, eyewear, confectionery, souvenirs, leather goods, and more.

Spanning an area of 4,000 square meters, The Visitor showcases a curated selection of luxury brands such as Carolina Herrera, Dior, Gucci, Jo Malone, La Mer, and Swarovski. Besides, it also houses an outlet of Jarir Bookstore, ensuring travelers can browse and obtain a wide range of items that are necessary for their journey or leisure.

The store’s dedicated electronics section shines the spotlight on the global technology brand Dyson, making it the first duty-paid store to offer this lineup. With an exclusive space, customers can immerse themselves in the latest gadgets and innovations from Dyson, exploring the brand’s cutting-edge technology.

The space is designed with ample lighting, spacious walkways, and digital screens that showcase the collections, creating an inviting atmosphere for shoppers. The black latticed ceiling blends seamlessly with the airport surroundings, while clear signages aid travelers in navigating toward the right terminal.

Patrick Chalhoub, group president of Chalhoub Group, highlighted the importance of providing a retail experience to airport passengers, especially in situations when flights are delayed or travelers have extra time to spare. “Our goal is to offer millions of travelers an extraordinary journey of discovery, with an exceptional level of service that aims to impress and delight our customers. We want to create a space that offers a meticulously curated assortment of products with a contemporary taste, resonating with the vibrant local culture,” he said.

Chalhoub added that the challenge lies in understanding the evolving needs and preferences of passengers, given the changing customer base and varying travel frequencies.

Mohammed Aldabbagh, managing director at Chalhoub Group, Saudi Arabia, underlined the group’s commitment to enhancing the shopping experience for travelers in the Kingdom. “Our aim is to improve and inspire our customers who are traveling within Saudi Arabia, elevating the shopping experience and providing exclusive brands that are only available at ‘The Visitor,’ ultimately elevating the overall travel journey from entering the airport until reaching the final destination,” he said.
