DAVOS: Saudi Minister of Economy and Planning Faisal Al-Ibrahim met with Germany’s State Secretary for Economic, Finance and European Affairs Jorg Kukies to discuss the most prominent developments in the global economy and explore opportunities for cooperation in areas of mutual interest between the two countries.

The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 2024 World Economic Forum annual meeting, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Sunday.

At the WEF in Davos last week, the minister spoke about Vision 2030 — Saudi Arabia’s ambitious plan for economic diversification, global engagement and enhanced quality of life — and stressed the importance of investing in human capital, including education, healthcare and international partnerships, such as the Kingdom’s successful collaboration with Singapore on strengthening public sector capabilities.
