Elie Saab to create immersive fashion experience for Riyadh Season

  • Lebanese designer will launch a collection for fall 2025 inspired by the Saudi season

RIYADH: A one-of-a-kind fashion and entertainment experience will thrill visitors during the 2024 Riyadh Season, following a memorandum of understanding signed by Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority and renowned Lebanese fashion designer Elie Saab.

The signing took place in London between GEA CEO Faisal Bafarat and Elie Saab CEO Elie Saab Jr. The deal aims to create a unique event combining fashion and entertainment.

The house of Elie Saab will launch a collection for fall 2025 inspired by the spirit of Riyadh Season as part of the agreement.

“In Riyadh Season, we work to connect with the biggest names in different fields, enriching the entertainment options,” Turki Al-Sheikh, GEA chairman, wrote on X. “Fashion is one of those.”

Al-Sheikh also thanked Minister of Culture Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan, and Deputy Minister of Culture Hamid bin Mohammed Fayez, for the efforts being made in this field.

For his part, Elie Saab said he was very happy to join Riyadh Season 2024: “We will create something unprecedented and new to celebrate the important occasion in Riyadh, a city that supports creativity and culture diversity in the region.”

In 2023, Elie Saab opened a new flagship store at Via Riyadh Mall, an exclusive experiential luxury and architectural destination in the Saudi capital.

Since its launch in 2019, Riyadh Season has welcomed millions of people from around the world who have enjoyed the season’s multiple zones that provide entertainment, musical and sporting experiences.
