DUBAI: Jordan’s Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah and Princess Rajwa Al-Hussein arrived in Singapore on Thursday on their first official overseas visit — and the princess opted for floral fashion for the occasion.
Princess Rajwa, who is from Saudi Arabia, showed off a floral dress by British label Karen Millen, created in collaboration with social media influencer Lydia Millen. The princess paired the summer-ready look with a Jaquemus bag featuring woven cane details.
During the two-day trip at the invitation of Singapore’s Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, the crown prince was scheduled to hold meetings with the city state’s top officials, including the PM, President Tharman Shanmugaratnam, Finance Minister Lawrence Wong, and National Security Coordinating Minister Teo Chee Hean, Singapore’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.
The couple made headlines just last week when Jordan’s Post Office released a set of commemorative stamps to mark their 2023 wedding.
Guests at the summer wedding in Amman included dignitaries and royals from around the world, including the UK’s Prince and Princess of Wales William and Kate Middleton; US First Lady Jill Biden; Qatar’s Sheikha Moza bint Nasser; the king and queen of Malaysia; the king and queen of The Netherlands; King Juan Carlos I and Queen Sofía of Spain; Prince Sébastien of Luxembourg; Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary of Denmark; Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden and Prince Daniel, Duke of Västergötland; Haakon, Crown Prince of Norway and Hisako, Princess Takamado and her daughter, Princess Tsuguko of Takamado of Japan, among others.
The bride, formerly Rajwa Al-Saif, wore a classic white gown by celebrity-loved Lebanese couturier Elie Saab for the nuptials and following public reception. She changed into a Dolce & Gabbana look for the state reception.
Born on April 28, 1994, Princess Rajwa is the daughter of Saudi businessman Khalid bin Musaed bin Saif bin Abdulaziz Al-Saif and his wife, Azza bint Nayef Abdulaziz Ahmad Al-Sudairi.
