RIYADH: Saudi air travelers are poised for an enhanced experience as the Kingdom’s aviation management firm Matarat Holding has introduced the ‘Passengers with No Bags’ service.
The service allows travelers to ship luggage in advance from home to any destination, completing travel-related procedures before the flight date.
Matarat Holding emphasized its efforts to oversee operational processes, ensuring safety, and comfort for smooth movement at Saudi airports.
The aim is to streamline travel procedures, with the service launching in the first quarter of 2024.
Matarat Holding noted that it aims to enhance the overall travel experience, aligning with Saudi Vision 2030 goals. The initiative also seeks to reduce waiting times and simplify traveling with minimal luggage.
The company emphasized that passengers intending to use the service must have a confirmed ticket or booking with one of the participating airlines, possess all required travel documents, and ensure that their luggage does not contain any prohibited items. Additionally, the facility is open for both individual travelers and groups at airports in the Kingdom.
Matarat Holding, a property of the Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation, manages the operations of 27 airports in Saudi Arabia through its subsidiaries, including Riyadh Airports, JEDCO, DACO, and Cluster2. The company is committed to advancing the development and performance of the Kingdom's airports.
Established in 2013, the Saudi firm has become a key player in the Saudi aviation industry with the mission of transforming and promoting airports in the Kingdom, particularly by spearheading the privatization of the industry.
Its initiatives align with the goals outlined in the National Aviation Strategy, an integral component of the National Transport and Logistics Strategy, which, in turn, is in harmony with the overarching vision of Saudi Vision 2030.
On its official website, the company emphasizes its commitment to revolutionizing and elevating Saudi airports by taking the lead in the privatization of a new, sustainable, and thriving industry.
