DUBAI: Dubai-based Hollywood star Lindsay Lohan jetted to New York this week to attend the premiere of the musical movie “Mean Girls.”
The actress hit the red carpet in a black Alexandre Vauthier dress from the brand’s Spring/Summer 2023 couture collection.
The long-sleeved gown, with peek-a-boo cutouts in the middle, had jeweled detailing on the waist.
She opted for a matching black clutch with a dazzling buckle and ankle strap heels. Lohan accessorized her look with dangling silver earrings and she had her hair down in loose waves resting on one shoulder.
The new mother starred in the original film, which was released in 2004. The 2024 version, directed by Samantha Jayne and Arturo Perez Jr., stars Australian actress Angourie Rice in the lead role of Cady.
The cast also includes Reneé Rapp, Jon Hamm, Jenna Fischer and more. The musical is penned by US actress and comedian Tina Fey, who also wrote the cult classic original film with US Canadian TV writer and film producer Lorne Michaels.
In the movie, Cady and her family undergo a cultural shift when they relocate from Africa to the US. Cady encounters a sense of disorientation as she enters the public school system for the first time.
Last week, Lohan celebrated the new year in Dubai with her Kuwaiti financier husband Bader Shammas and their baby boy.
“Wishing everyone a blessed year. May it be filled with love, good health, peace and happiness! Full of gratitude,” she wrote on Instagram to her 14.1 million followers at the time.
The actress shared a sneak peek of how she spent her New Year’s Eve. It seems as though the family celebrated the start of 2024 at their Dubai home as Lohan shared pictures of the colorful Burj Khalifa fireworks.
Lohan, who has been living in the UAE city since 2017, and Shammas welcomed their first child in July in Dubai. The couple gave their first bundle of joy an Arabic name — Luai.
Lohan first announced her pregnancy in March 2023 in a photo posted to Instagram of a white onesie emblazoned with the words “coming soon.”
