- Mawhiba offers initiatives to nurture talents, which thousands of gifted people benefit from annually
RIYADH: The year 2023 has been a remarkable one for Saudi students, reported the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity, also known as Mawhiba, which aims to discover and nurture gifted people in scientific fields.
Last year, the Kingdom’s students won 610 awards in Science Olympiads and other international scientific competitions.
The partnerships that Mawhiba forged with prestigious research centers and universities contributed to its students developing more than 16,000 ideas and obtaining 15 patents.
Mawhiba offers several initiatives to nurture talents, which thousands of gifted people benefit from annually, and follows up on its trainees even after they graduate.
Over 1,000 male and female students who trained with Mawhiba were accepted into the 50 most prestigious international universities in majors aligned with the needs of national development plans.
Mawhiba also provided summer enrichment programs in 18 cities around the Kingdom, which allowed 11,000 people, including 387 international students, to develop their skills.
