ISLAMABAD: Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir praised the top Pakistan Air Force officials for ensuring operational preparedness by inducting advanced weapon systems at a ceremony on Tuesday, saying their effort was vital to the balance of power in the region.
The army chief was invited to attend the induction and operationalization ceremony of latest PAF arsenal to bolster the country’s air defense capabilities.
During a speech at the ceremony, Chief of the Air Staff Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu provided an overview of the latest inductions comprising of J-10C fighter jets, air mobility platforms of C-130 H, Airbus-319, Boeing 737, Piper M-600 and BKA-350i aircraft.
Emphasizing the commitment to incorporate niche technologies through fast paced strategic inductions from friendly countries and various indigenous initiatives, the air chief highlighted his vision to evolve PAF into a potent next generation air force.
“General Syed Asim Munir in his speech commended the dynamic leadership of Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu and lauded the operational preparedness of Pakistan Air Force in incorporating state-of-the-art weapon systems, substantially contributing in ensuring the balance of power in the region,” said an official statement released after the ceremony.
The army chief endorsed PAF’s dedication to technological advancements and operational excellence, reassuring that the armed forces of Pakistan were fully prepared to thwart any aggression.
The PAF has also inducted modern radars, Unmanned Aerial Systems like Bayraktar Akinci, Tb2 and Shahpar-II along with Swarm Drones.
The air chief told the gathering the foundation for acquiring the J-31 Stealth Fighter aircraft had already been laid which would become part of the PAF fleet in the foreseeable future.
Toward the end of the ceremony, a spectacular airshow featuring various PAF fighter jets, training aircraft and UAVs captivated the audience.
General Munir and other guests also witnessed a static display of diverse PAF fighter, air mobility and UAV fleet.
