The Saudi cabinet, chaired by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on Tuesday in Riyadh, welcomed the recently proposed road map to support the peace process in Yemen.

The council of ministers reiterated the Kingdom's ongoing support for Yemen and its people, encouraging Yemeni parties to engage in dialogue for a comprehensive and lasting political solution under the UN's supervision.

During the session, the council also discussed regional and international developments, with particular attention to the situation in the Palestinian territories. The council welcomed the UN Security Council's decision to increase humanitarian aid to Gaza and called on the international community to fulfill its responsibilities, urging an immediate end to systematic violations by the Israeli occupation authorities against civilians.

In local affairs, the council reviewed the economic results for the current year and the accomplished development plans, programs, and projects contributing to comprehensive economic development across the Kingdom's regions, aligning with the goals of Vision 2030.

The council praised the progress recorded by government agencies in the digital transformation measurement index for 2023, highlighting the state's support for enhancing services, improving the quality of life, boosting competitiveness, and facilitating business operations.

The cabinet noted the Kingdom's second-place ranking among G20 countries in the ICT Development Index for 2023, according to the International Federation of Telecommunications.
