Mazen bin Mohammed Johar was recently appointed chief executive officer of Jeddah Airports and will start in his new role in February.
With 25 years of professional experience working in the public and private sectors, he will move from his current position as CEO of the Aircraft Accessories and Components Co., a subsidiary of Saudi Arabian Military Industries.
Previously, he was deputy minister for the Saudi Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, involved in overseeing industrial services. He also led Nova — Health Water Bottling Co. as CEO, was chief operating officer for ground handling with Saudi Arabian Cargo Co., served as commercial vice president at Basic Chemical Industries, and held several senior leadership roles during almost 18 years with Procter & Gamble.
Johar sits on the board of directors for a number of organizations in the public and private sectors, including the Saudi Energy Efficiency Center, and he has obtained leadership certificates from institutions such as Harvard University.
He gained a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Nottingham in the UK and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, in Dhahran.
