RIYADH: The Saudi aid agency KSrelief continued its work in South Asia with the distribution of 1,000 food packages to people affected by the recent earthquake in Afghanistan’s Zinda Jan District.

Officials said 375 families and 6,000 individuals benefitted from the delivery which came just days after 3,850 people in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province received 550 winter bags from the charity organization.

The latest aid was part of the humanitarian and relief assistance program provided by the center to people in need around the world, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Wednesday.

Separately, KSrelief assistant general supervisor for operations and programs, Ahmed bin Ali Al-Baiz, met with the EU’s special representative for the Horn of Africa, Annette Weber, and her accompanying delegation at the KSrelief headquarters in Riyadh.
