DUBAI: Adidas and Les Mills made history on Sunday by achieving an official Guinness World Records title for the most nationalities in a high-intensity interval training class.

The event, which took place on the UAE city’s Sheikh Zayed Road during the seventh Dubai Fitness Challenge, saw 55 nationalities participate in a workout session guided by Les Mills’ global presenters, including Ben Main, Caley Jack, and Kaylah Blayr, and powered by adidas’ training wear.

The record-breaking session was set against the backdrop of one of Dubai’s most iconic buildings, Museum of the Future.

Bilal Fares, adidas’ general manager for emerging market central, said: “At adidas we are committed to helping athletes of all levels unlock their fitness potential and feel the positive mental benefits of training, so we are truly humbled by the incredible turnout and spirit of UAE residents who participated in this historic achievement.

“Our attempt was more than just setting a new benchmark; it was a celebration of community, fitness, and the belief that together, the impossible is possible.”

Glen Stollery, CEO of Les Mills for the Middle East, India, and Africa, said the landmark achievement demonstrated the power of fitness in bringing communities together.

“It’s not just about breaking records; it’s about breaking barriers, inspiring happiness, and making fitness a lifelong passion for all,” he added.
