  • Prince Faisal stresses importance for international community to assume its role in stopping Israeli attacks and the forced displacement of Palestinians

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, expressed deep concern for the continuing humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza during a call with EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell, the Saudi Press Agency said Sunday.

Prince Faisal stressed the importance for the international community to assume its role in stopping Israeli attacks and the forced displacement of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip that constitute a flagrant violation of the international humanitarian law.

The foreign minister reiterated the need to protect civilians and establish effective mechanisms to halt military operations in the occupied Palestinian territories.
