RIYADH: The Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance is participating in the Algiers International Book Fair — running until Nov. 4 — as part of the Kingdom’s pavilion.
Through its dedicated corner, the ministry will be showcasing publications from the King Fahd Complex for the Printing of the Holy Qur’an, including copies of the Qur’an and translations of its meanings in 77 languages.
The ministry will also provide detailed explanations of the calligraphy, printing, and production stages involved in creating the Qur’an, while presenting smart apps and programs such as quotations and coaching apps, and one that teaches Hajj and Umrah rituals through virtual reality.
Exhibits of manuscripts from the Makkah Al-Mukarramah Library collection will also feature alongside an interactive presentation highlighting works carried out by the ministry.
The recent Riyadh International Book Fair, staged over 10 days at King Saud University, attracted more than 1 million visitors. Held under the theme “An Inspiring Destination,” Oman was the edition’s guest of honor. More than 1,800 publishing houses from 32 countries took part with 800 pavilions.
