Riyadh: The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority launched the second phase of the Tawakkalna Services app with a new identity, services, and digital features during a ceremony held on Thursday at the Four Seasons Hotel in Riyadh, which was attended by senior officials from the government and the private sector.
The new identity of Tawakkalna Services aims to enhance the integration of government efforts and facilitate the provision of services to beneficiaries.
Abdullah bin Sharaf Al-Ghamdi, the president of the SDAIA, said: “By joining efforts with the SDAIA’s partners from government agencies, led by the Ministry of Interior, we are able to achieve amazing results in the use of data technologies and artificial intelligence.
“The outcomes represented in several projects, digital platforms, and technical achievements all contribute to serving the kingdom and its people.”
The number of Tawakkalna users has reached more than 31 million, with more than 241 services provided, boasting more than 1.5 billion messages, and 635 million digital wallet reviews.
Saleh bin Salem Musaybah, the assistant director of the National Information Center of Tawakkalna, said: “The new version of Tawakkalna will enable government agencies to achieve their goals through the ease of technical connectivity with the app, and will further diversify the services provided to beneficiaries, stressing that the services will constantly evolve to improve the user experience.”
The relaunch ceremony included an exhibition in which several pavilions showcased the services provided in the new phase of the app.
These include a home page, designed to give users quick and easy access to everything they need, and the Wakeb services, in which users are updated with the latest happenings, allowing them to stay connected and well informed about the world around them.
The Wakeb services will also allow Tawakkalna’s trusted partners from government and private agencies to directly engage with users for an enhanced experience.
All data, cards, documents, and resumes appear in one place, under personal information, allowing users to access and manage things effortlessly.
The launch of the new Tawakkalna Services app comes within the framework of efforts to support digital transformation initiatives and achieve the goals of Vision 2030, and to enhance joint efforts with various government agencies.
Saudi Arabia introduced the Tawakkalna app in 2020, it was meant to help keep track of curfews during the pandemic and to book timed slots for individuals to exercise or grocery shop.
In March 2021, Tawakkalna upgraded its services to accommodate expats without legal status by allowing residents to download the app without first creating an Absher account.
In 2022, the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority has launched a new app, Tawakkalna Services, to help improve the quality of life in the Kingdom. It provides 140 services that cover health, education, transport, Islamic and public services, and entertainment through 40 strategic partnerships.
