RIYADH: The Arab Satellite Communications Organization has created a new brand identity which it hopes better reflects its position as a leader in satellite communication.
The updated image was unveiled on Wednesday at a publicity event at the Crown Plaza in Riyadh.
President and CEO Alhamedi Alanezi said the new look marked the start of the latest chapter in Arabsat’s development.
“Arabsat is looking to build the future of telecommunication and satellite communication through new services and products, so it needs a new brand identity that should reflect all these new things,” he told Arab News.
“We are unwavering in our commitment to upholding the standards of reliability and adaptability in our services and coverage, achieved through a comprehensive integration of space and ground services.
“Furthermore, we play a pivotal role in propelling development and fostering a culture of innovation within the industry.”
Steve Haysom, from branding firm Omnia, said the logo change was necessary to reflect the company’s strategic shift.
“What we tried to do was understand the future vision of Arabsat and the legacy and history of the brand, and we built on that.
“With the new technology advancements that the company is offering, we felt the need to uplift the brand.”
In May, Arabsat launched Badr 8, the Middle East’s first seventh-generation satellite, which now provides connectivity for users across the region as well as in Europe, Africa and central Asia.
