RIYADH: Saudi Arabia is gearing up to bolster its meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions sector with the launch of Expo! Expo! MENA.
Scheduled to take place in Riyadh on Sept. 10, the event, being held outside of the US for the first time, is poised to propel Saudi Arabia into the global spotlight as a hub for diverse business gatherings.
The event will be overseen and managed by the Saudi Conventions and Exhibition General Authority and organized by the International Association of Exhibition and Events, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
Expo! Expo! MENA will host more than 100 exhibitors, each specializing in presentations and conferences that span diverse sectors and geographies.
The event serves as a platform for showcasing the necessary requirements for organizing and operating exhibitions and conferences, providing a unique opportunity to explore the latest innovations in this field.
“It (Expo! Expo! MENA) also plays a role in showcasing the available opportunities and potential within the Kingdom, emphasizing its unique strengths that position it as an attractive hub for prominent international exhibitions,” Amjad bin Essam Shaker, acting CEO of SCEGA said.
Shaker also stressed that the exhibition and conference field plays a vital role in contributing to economic growth as it has the ability to boost different economic sectors.
He also added that the event “serves as a platform for networking, idea sharing, and gaining a comprehensive understanding of the exhibitions and events domain.”
Through its Middle Eastern debut, Expo! Expo! MENA aims to provide a platform for global industry leaders to converge in Riyadh to explore investment prospects within the Kingdom, thus bolstering the sector’s growth by 2030.
Furthermore, the event strives to meet client demands through practical solutions, improve institutional perception, and effectively promote products and services in the exhibitions and conferences industry.
Additionally, the organizing company, 1st Arabia for Tradeshows and Conferences, has invited institutions, companies, exhibition/conference officials, specialists, and business leaders to participate.
In June, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman presented Riyadh’s bid to host Expo 2030 during an official reception in Paris.
Delegates from 179 member nations of the Bureau International des Expositions, the organization responsible for coordinating the expo, attended the event in the French capital.
