ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Taimoor Khan retained his Asian Boxing Federation heavyweight title after knocking out India’s Jaskaran Singh in 30 seconds during their bout in Dubai, the state-run Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) said on Sunday.

Khan and Singh’s bout was part of the World Boxing Association’s (WBA) Color World Cup World Tour in Dubai.

“I successfully defended my Asian Boxing Federation Heavyweight title and beat India’s undefeated heavyweight boxer Jaskaran Singh on a technical knockout within 30 seconds,” Khan said in a statement after the fight.

In January this year, Khan retained his Asian Boxing Federation Heavyweight title after defeating his Thai counterpart, Aekkaphob Auraiwan, in a highly-anticipated bout in Bangkok.

He remains Pakistan’s undefeated heavyweight boxer in the bouts he has fought so far.
