AMMAN: The Jordan-Saudi committee discussed bilateral ties in its 18th session which was held in Riyadh on Monday.
The session was co-chaired by Jordanian Minister of Labor, Youssef Shamali and Saudi Minister of Transport Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser.
Enhancing bilateral ties and focusing on cooperation in economic, trade, energy and tourism affairs were discussed.
The ministers stressed the importance of working promptly to overcome obstacles facing the flow of trade and investments, and make clear progress in various fields to serve common interests.
Shamali said periodic meetings of the joint committee are a translation of the two sides’ keenness to increase cooperation in various fields and face challenges posed by exceptional circumstances the world is currently witnessing.
He said the steady growth in the trade exchange volume is clear evidence of the two countries’ success in turning agreements into real projects, adding that opportunities exist for closer cooperation in various fields.
