Alarabi Alomaim is head of the General Directorate of Animal Production at the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture.
In 2020, he served as the director of administrative and financial affairs for the Agricultural Subsidy Program, as well as director of the ministry’s sustainable rural development sectors and deputy director general of branch affairs.
From 2017-2018, Alomaim was director general of the ministry’s branch in Tabuk.
In 2016, he served as the deputy director of livestock, overseeing the improvement of veterinary units, and represented the ministry for three years as a member of the National Bioethics Committee at King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology.
In 2015, he held several key roles within the ministry, overseeing the Saudi agreements file and managing the foreign contractors’ file in the livestock department.
Additionally, he served as the coordinator of the livestock department in the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council.
Alomaim earned a bachelor’s degree in medical sciences from the College of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine at King Saud University’s branch in Qassim. He also holds a master’s degree in veterinary medical sciences from Qassim University and a doctorate degree in veterinary sciences from Cairo University.
During his time as a scholarship student, he served as president of the Saudi Student Club in Cairo from 2011 to 2013. He also worked with the Saudi Embassy in Cairo, where he contributed to crisis management efforts.
Alomaim became director of the veterinary unit in Buraidah in 2002, and he performed his administrative work in several regions, including Qassim, Makkah, Tabuk and Riyadh.
He was appointed as a veterinarian in 2000 in the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture.
