Who’s Who: Fahad Al-Nuhait, CEO of Halal Products Development Co.

Fahad Al-Nuhait was recently appointed CEO of Halal Products Development Co., which is wholly owned by Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth fund.

The company’s primary goals are to “drive and strengthen capabilities within Saudi Arabia’s halal sectors and the global ecosystem.”

Al-Nuhait brings with him 19 years of experience, during which he has worked in several investment finance and project management positions in prominent Saudi corporations.

As CEO, Al-Nuhait will drive the development of the halal products industry. His contributions will support the company’s growth and market impact, and align with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 in regards to economic diversification and development.

Al-Nuhait is also the chairman of the Saudi Coffee Co., another subsidiary of the Public Investment Fund. That company’s objective is to “promote Saudi coffee products and establish a strong presence in the global market.”

Al-Nuhait was previously the head of industrial investments and funding at NEOM, the urban area being built in the Kingdom’s northwestern Tabuk province, one of the world’s most ambitious projects.

Before that, Al-Nuhait was director of investments for emerging sectors at Dussur, an industrial investment company established by PIF, Saudi Aramco, and SABIC, where he was instrumental in driving the company’s mission to foster the growth of strategic industrial sectors and value chains in the Kingdom.

Al-Nuhait has also worked as chief investment officer, head of investments for the Arab Investment Co., and as senior credit manager at the Saudi Fund for Development. He currently serves as a board and committee member of numerous companies, including the Saudi Jordanian Investment Fund Co. and Al-Hammadi Company for Development and Investment. He previously served at Bidaya Home Finance, MEFIC Capital and other international investment entities.

Al-Nuhait holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and financial management services from King Saud University, along with a master’s degree in finance from Newcastle University and a master’s degree from Said Business School, University of Oxford.

He has also completed Harvard Business School’s executive program for leadership development and is a CFA Institute-certified chartered financial analyst.
