TABUK: Some 200 students will take part when the General Administration of Education in Tabuk hosts the Scientific Camp for Smart Cities on Saturday.
Senior official Majid bin Abdul Rahman Al-Qair said the event took advantage of the summer vacation to help create opportunities for youngsters to discover new skills through training programs that promoted scientific research and innovation.
He added that the event would include training courses, workshops, events to promote scouting skills and traditions, field visits, and enrichment programs.
Abdullah Al-Harthi, director of the department of student activities at the General Administration of Education, said the camp would be held for five days at the headquarters of the scout training camp and Prince Fahd bin Sultan Hall.
It intends to focus on developing students’ skills and capabilities in a way that contributes to achieving sustainable development, while strengthening the values of belonging and national loyalty.
