JEDDAH: Jeddah Gov. Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Jalawi meets Italian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Roberto Cantone and Consul General Leonardo Costa in Jeddah on Sunday.
The two countries last year celebrated the 90th anniversary of the establishment of formal diplomatic relations.
Saudi Arabia is Italy’s largest trading partner in the Gulf region and second biggest in the Arab world.
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged cordial discussions.
Earlier, Cantone said he believed that a “shared commitment to dialogue and mutual understanding” was the cornerstone of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
