RIYADH: Saudi aid agency KSrelief recently distributed 1,332 food baskets in Madani, the capital of Al-Gezira state in Sudan.
The Saudi Press Agency reported that as many as 13,186 individuals benefited from the baskets.
It comes as part of humanitarian efforts by KSrelief — the aid arm of Saudi Arabia — to achieve food security in Sudan and alleviate the suffering of those in need.
Meanwhile, KSrelief recently concluded an emergency voluntary medical project in Banjul, Gambia, with the participation of seven male and female volunteers.
During the campaign, the medical team performed 66 operations covering gynecological oncology, vascular and pediatric surgeries.
The project was part of KSrelief’s support for the Gambian medical sector, as well as promotion of volunteerism among Saudis in accordance with the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
