MWL chief leads Friday prayers in New Delhi

NEW DELHI: Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, secretary-general of the Muslim World League, made history in India on Friday.

Al-Issa became the first person from outside of India to lead the prayers at Jama Masjid in Delhi in 400 years. He was invited to take the pulpit by the imam and preacher of the mosque, and received a warm welcome from the worshippers.
