RIYADH: The Diriyah Gate Development Authority has organized a series of festive events in mosques, parks and gardens across the city of Diriyah, west of Riyadh, to celebrate Eid Al-Adha.
This comes as part of the authority’s commitment to strengthening local community bonds, and engaging residents through activities and events.
Eid Al-Adha festivities include the presentation of over 15,000 gifts for children and residents of Diriyah.
Diriyah has deployed a fleet of “Fun Buses,” will will travel through Al-Khalidiya, Al-Faisaliah and Jax parks during the first three days of Eid.
Each evening throughout the four-day holiday, cultural and heritage events will occur at 8 p.m. in conjunction with the local municipality, traffic authority, police department, Diriyah Hospital and other local entities.
DGDA also collaborated with the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture to oversee the organization of Eid meals. The collaboration will help to prioritize sustainability across the city by ensuring proper waste disposal.
The authority is also hosting a “Good Neighbor” initiative to distribute special bags for first aid kits, Eid decoration boxes and waste collection.
In addition to these festivities, Bujairi Terrace is celebrating this year’s Eid Al-Adha holiday with traditional music and activities for families to enjoy, such as a balloon show and an interactive woven wall, while dining at any of its 20 restaurants.
