JEDDAH: The 22nd Chinese Bridge Language Competition for Saudi university students concluded with 30 male and female students representing four universities taking part.
Held for the second time in the Kingdom, the competition was organized by King Abdulaziz University in cooperation with the Chinese Embassy.
The competition was attended by Yin Lijun, charge d’affaires of the Chinese Embassy.
Thirteen male and female students qualified for the final stage of the competition. The jury consisted of faculty members from the Minzu University of China.
Muhannad bin Ghazi Abed, dean of student affairs, said: “The competition falls within aspects of cooperation in the cultural and educational field between Saudi Arabia and China.
“It is considered the largest international cultural competition on Chinese culture and language, with the aim of translating the Kingdom’s Vision 2030. It is the largest international cultural competition on Chinese culture and language.
“It is also a platform for Chinese learners from all over the world to demonstrate their skills in the Chinese language, share their educational experiences, examine learning results, and build a bridge to strengthen their friendship.”
