Saudi Arabia’s Hadiyah charity launches ‘Breaking the Silence’ initiative

RIYADH: The Haji and Mu’tamer’s Gift Charitable Association, also known as Hadiyah, has launched a “Breaking the Silence” initiative, the Saudi Press Agency reported recently.

Hadiyah seeks to provide pilgrims with translation services, information on the Grand Mosque and other holy sites during the annual pilgrimage. Three-hundred volunteers are involved in the project.

Turki Al-Hetershi, Hadiyah’s executive director, emphasized that the charity provides a platform for individuals who want to do volunteer work.

The aim is to have 1 million volunteers participate, as envisaged by the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 plan.
