MUHARRAQ: Tunisian club Monastir qualified for the group stage of King Salman Club Cup on Wednesday after beating Bahraini side Al-Muharraq 1-0 in the second leg of their second round qualifier.

Youssef Oumarou scored the only goal for Monastir to ensure that his team made into the competition proper with a 3-0 aggregate win, after the Tunisians won the first leg 2-0.

Monastir join a group alongside Egypt’s Zamalek and Al-Nassr and Al-Shabab from Saudi Arabia.

The King Salman Club Cup will be held in the Kingdom in the cities Abha, Al-Taif, Al-Baha in July.
