King Salman invites Mauritanian president to Arab League council meeting

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia's King Salman invited on Monday the president of Mauritania to participate in the upcoming Arab League summit, being hosted by the Kingdom later in May, Saudi Press Agency reported.

The king sent a written message to Mohamed Ould Ghazouani, which was delivered by Saudi ambassador to Mauritania Muhammad bin Ayed Al-Balawi during a reception hosted by the president in Nouakchott.

Al-Balawi shared King Salman's good wishes for the president and the Mauritanian people, while Ghazouani reciprocated for the king and Saudi Arabia.

During the reception, the two also reviewed relations between the two countries and ways of developing them.
