DUBAI: Abu Dhabi’s House of Artisans will take part in the London Design Biennale in June, Emirates News Agency reported.

Under the theme “The Global Game: Remapping Collaborations,” the art center will showcase Emirati crafts, including the traditional Bedouin weaving technique known as sadu.

In 2011, UNESCO added sadu to its list of “Intangible Cultural Heritage in Need of Urgent Safeguarding.”

The House of Artisans pavilion will display weaving items, such as wool and spindle, and explain the technique practiced by Emirati women.
