DUBAI: US boy band Backstreet Boys gave the performance of a lifetime at their first-ever concert in Cairo, Egypt, on Monday night.
The group — comprising Nick Carter, Kevin Richardson, AJ McLean, Brian Littrell and Howie Dorough — performed their greatest hits, including tracks like “Quit Playing Games,” “I Want It That Way” and “Everybody,” as part of their “DNA World Tour.”
Mid-concert, McLean took a moment to speak with the fans. “To be here has been on my bucket list of places to go my entire life. Yesterday, the five of us got to experience this absolutely beautiful place. We got to eat amazing food, we got to experience the culture, the people, everything… the history!”
“Sorry it took us 30 years to get here, but hey, better late than never. And rest assured, we’re coming back,” he added.
The group will also make other pit stops in the Middle East — they will hit Abu Dhabi on May 7, Bahrain on May 9 and Saudi Arabia on May 11.
The Backstreet Boys will perform in Jeddah at the F1 Concert Zone.
