STOCKHOLM: A delegation from the Shoura Council, headed by Assistant Speaker Hanan Al-Ahmadi, met with the president of Stockholm City Council, Olle Burell, at the historic City Hall building in Sweden.
During the meeting, they reviewed Saudi-Swedish bilateral relations in various fields and ways to enhance them. The meeting also discussed Saudi efforts related to the environment, climate change, urbanization and the adoption of smart city technology, as well as quality of life, one of the most important targets of Saudi Vision 2030.
The delegation also visited Uppsala University, where they were received by Vice Chancellor Anders Hagfeldt. The delegation discussed various topics related to scientific and educational research and cooperation between the Kingdom and Sweden in the field of higher education, as well as ways to enhance and develop it.
The delegation also held a meeting with Thomas Steifbom, the president of the Chamber of Commerce in Uppsala, in the presence of representatives of businessmen and company representatives in the city. The meeting discussed ways to enhance economic cooperation between the two friendly countries and the goals that the Saudi Vision 2030 seeks to achieve, especially in terms of investment. The meeting emphasized the Kingdom as an attractive and stimulating investment destination that provides facilities and flexibility to investors.
