RIYADH: Saudi Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Adel Al-Jubeir led the Kingdom’s delegation at the recent Major Economies Forum on Energy and Climate organized by US President Joe Biden.

During the video conference, Al-Jubeir expressed his gratitude to the US leader for hosting the summit amid the challenges of global climate change.

Al-Jubeir emphasized the Kingdom’s dedication to collaborating with international and regional partners to find solutions in the climate sector. This includes developing carbon management techniques, decarbonizing the energy sector, reducing emissions of other gases, and ending deforestation.

He reviewed the Kingdom’s efforts to foster joint action, including the Reforestation Initiative, which aims to plant billions of trees locally and tens of billions of trees throughout the Middle East and other regions.
