In preparation for Eid Al-Fitr, Amazon.sa has announced its collaboration with Aleradah Organization for Talented People with Disability, to create this year’s special edition Amazon.sa Eid eGift cards collection for customers in Saudi Arabia. The newly launched collection features colorful artwork designed exclusively by gifted artists from within Aleradah, an organization dedicated to uplifting talented people with disabilities in the Kingdom. The Amazon.sa Eid eGift cards are now available for purchase at a variety of balance amounts on Amazon.sa/giftcards or through the Amazon app.

Abdo Chlala, country manager, Amazon, Saudi Arabia, said: “At Amazon, we are committed to bringing varying backgrounds, ideas and perspectives together, as we innovate on behalf of our customers. This year, collaborating with Aleradah for the Amazon.sa Eid eGift cards gave us an inspiring opportunity to showcase some of the remarkable local talent, while reflecting the true essence of togetherness during Eid. We hope to deliver joy to our customers, offering them more ways to gift each other ‘Eideyyah,’ while raising awareness of the rich and diverse cultural landscape in Saudi Arabia.”

The Amazon.sa Eid eGift cards embrace the tradition of “Eideyyah,” the popular gift-giving Eid Al-Fitr custom between family and friends, with a modern twist. This year’s collection consists of two exclusive colorful designs, stemming from the artists’ interpretation of Eid. The designs bring to life elements from the celebrations, culture and heritage shared across Saudi Arabia, while infusing the talent’s personal attachment to the festive season.

The first design, created by Reham, an artist with sickle cell anemia, brings to life the joy of Eid and the overall beauty of the occasion, while infusing a nod to Saudi Arabia’s local culture. The second design, put together by visually impaired artist Amjad Al-Mutairi, combines cheerful colors and elements representing the warmth of Eid and its traditions.

Reham, who did not disclose her family name, told Arab News: “Creating art has always enabled me to express myself whilst bringing happiness to others. Eid is a wonderful occasion that brings families and friends together, and I wanted to capture that feeling in my artwork.”

“I am thrilled to have my design featured on this year’s Amazon.sa’s Eid eGift Card collection. It has been a wonderful experience that I will always remember, and I cannot wait for others to receive my artwork,” she added.

Al-Mutairi said she is “very excited” to have his artwork featured by Amazon.

“I hope my colorful design brings happiness to those who receive it. I may not be able to see the world around me, but through my art, I was able to capture the true beauty and essence of Eid,” she said. “The warmth and joy that comes with this special occasion are reflected in every stroke of my brush. As a member of Aleradah Organization for Talented People with Disability, I am proud to represent our community and show that disability does not hinder creativity or talent, but rather gives it a unique perspective.”

Abdullah Jeraid, executive director of Aleradah Organization, said: “Eid is one of the most important celebrations of the year in Saudi Arabia, and we are very excited to have collaborated with Amazon on this occasion. At Aleradah Organization, we are dedicated to empowering and uplifting talented people with disabilities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and look to provide ways for them to develop and display their work. This important collaboration with Amazon has enabled our artists to showcase their creative flair and talent and hopefully inspire diverse communities across the Kingdom during the holy month.”

Mona Alsemayen, country head, Amazon Payment Services, Saudi Arabia, said: “Gifting is one of the important ways that our customers in Saudi Arabia meaningfully connect with their loved ones during Eid celebrations, and our eGift cards are part of the wide range of trusted and simple payment options we offer Amazon.sa customers. Collaborating with artists from Aleradah truly made this year’s Amazon.sa Eid eGift card collection special.”
