RIYADH: Prince Fahd bin Saad bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki was appointed the governor of Diriyah by royal decree on Sunday.
The previous governor of Diriyah, Prince Ahmed bin Abdullah bin Abdulrahman, was relieved of his post in a separate royal decree issue last Sunday.
Diriyah is the birthplace of the first Saudi state and the Diriyah Gate Development Authority is working to transform the district into one of the world’s largest cultural and heritage destinations.
