JEDDAH: Thunderstorms will affect most regions of Saudi Arabia from Sunday until next Thursday, with winds of more than 50 kph likely to stir up dust and cause landslides, the National Center of Meteorology said.
According to the NCM report, medium-to-heavy rain will fall on Sunday and Monday and continue on Wednesday and Thursday in Asir’s regions: Abha, Khamis Mushayt, Bisha, Sarat Abidah, Ahad Rafidah, Al-Harajah, Tathleeth, Al-Namas, Balqarn, Al-Majaridah, Muhayel, Bareq, Tanomah, Al-Raboah, Dhahran Al-Janub and Al-Birk.
Rain will also affect Al-Baha (Al-Baha, Baljurashi Al-Mandaq, Al-Mikhwah, and Al-Aqeeq, etc.), Jazan (Jizan, Bish, Al-Ardah and Abu Arish, etc.), Makkah (Makkah), Taif, Maysan, Adham, Al-Kurmat, Al-Ardiyat, Turbah, Rani, Al-Muwiyah, Qiya, Bahra, Khulais, Al-Kamil and Al-Jumum), Najran (Najran, Sharurah, Hubuna and most governorates) and Madinah (Madinah, Mahd, Badr and AlUla, etc).
Medium-to-heavy falls are expected from Monday to Wednesday in Tabuk’s regions (Tabuk, Tayma, Haql and NEOM), Jouf (Sakaka, Qurayyat, Tabarjal and Dumat Al-Jandal), and the Northern Borders region (Turaif, Arar and Rafha).
