Eveningwear, reimagined workwear shine on day three of Dubai Fashion Week

Here are the highlights from day three of Dubai Fashion Week, which is set to run until March 15.

  • Paris to Dubai

Dubai-based Lili Blanc unveiled her “Flamme Femme” collection at DFW, after showcasing the label’s creations on the sidelines of Paris Fashion Week as part of the Arab Fashion Council’s partnership with the Federation de La Haute Couture et de la Mode in March.

  • Pipatchara takes a break

Designer Pipatchara Kaeojinda’s new collection “Sensation Spectrum” delivered a unique combination of sustainability and luxury inspired by the act of exploring nature while on vacation.

  • Lili Blanc sparkles

Crystals sparkled on sharply tailored suits, capes and evening dresses in Lili Blanc’s showcase, which also featured a range of ready-to-wear options including skirts, flared and fitted trousers and jumpsuits.

  • Weinsanto’s surrealism

French designer Victor Weinsanto’s collection featured a surrealist touch with mega capes, oversized halo hats and deconstructed trench coats.

  • Lateforwork reinvents the wheel

Formal wear was reimagined with disproportional cuts and the use of vibrant colors in the label’s show. The use of deadstock fabrics and oversized tailoring gave the brand an edge on the runway.

  • Playing with texture

Victor Weinsanto also offered up aged denim parkas, blotchy abstract print cocktail dresses and corsets made of velour.
