RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Ministry condemned the Israeli army for raiding a home in a refugee camp in the occupied West Bank on Tuesday, triggering a battle that killed at least six Palestinians and wounded more than two dozen others.

The ministry confirmed the Kingdom’s total rejection of the serious violations that are committed by the Israeli army.

It also expressed its condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims and to the government and people of Palestine, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.

The Gulf Cooperation Council also condemned the raid.

GCC Secretary-General Jasem Al-Budaiwi stressed the need for the international community to act urgently to stop the Israeli attacks, “which are a flagrant violation of international resolutions on the Palestinian issue.”

Al-Budaiwi stressed the need to provide the necessary protection to Palestinian people, and support all regional and international efforts to advance the peace process in the Middle East.

Tuesday’s raid was the latest in a string of arrest operations by the Israeli military in the West Bank, as violence surges to its highest levels in years.
