DUBAI: A 1.9 magnitude micro-earthquake was recorded off the coast of Dibba, Fujairah on Thursday evening, according to the UAE's NCM National Seismic Network.
The quake was "slightly felt" by residents, it said, but added it had "no effect" on the country.
NCM said the micro-quake was recorded at a depth of 17 kilometers.
Similar earthquakes have been recorded across the UAE in recent years, with a 2.4 magnitude quake being felt in Sharjah last June and another 1.9 magnitude tremor also recorded in Dibba.
