Arab countries congratulate Saudi leaders over Founding Day

RIYADH: Arab countries have congratulated Saudi leaders over the Kingdom’s Founding Day.

UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan and Vice President Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum sent congratulatory messages to King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the Emirates News Agency reported. 

Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and Prime Minister Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz also congratulated the Saudi leaders on the anniversary. 

Kuwait’s Emir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah also took the opportunity to congratulate King Salman, praising the Kingdom’s outstanding achievements in a variety of fields.

The emir expressed his deep pride in the fraternal relations that unite the two families and their countries.

Kuwait’s Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah also sent their congratulations to King Salman on Founding Day, along with Jordan’s King Abdullah, and Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of Oman.

Saudi Arabia celebrates the anniversary on Feb. 22 to recognise the foundation of the First Saudi State in 1727 by Imam Mohammed bin Saud.
