Zamil Air Conditioners Company has signed a joint cooperation agreement with Samsung Electronics. The partnership is the first step for Samsung’s manufacturing in the Kingdom’s HVAC sector, in alliance with Zamil Air Conditioners, in the backdrop of an increasing demand for international companies in the Saudi market and in line with the “Made in Saudi” program.
“This partnership comes to enhance and expand the scope of cooperation between the two giants in several areas, foremost of which is the manufacture of air conditioners with VRF technology locally by Zamil Air Conditioners in cooperation with Samsung Electronics,” a statement said.
“The alliance is based on the companies’ mutual interest to explore business opportunities in the Kingdom, by leveraging Samsung VRF smart technology in HVAC systems, along with Zamil’s leading experience in manufacturing, installing, maintaining and operating HVAC systems, with the aim of providing services to the world and energy-saving cooling solutions to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in line with the great trend of energy rationalization.”
The partnership aims to support the localization of the industry and the transfer of technological knowledge in the field of air conditioning, within the framework of the national strategy to enhance local manufacturing capabilities and increase local content. This is part of the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, which include providing job opportunities for thousands of Saudi youth and opening new horizons for them in line with the developments being witnessed by the region in general, and the Kingdom in particular.
