ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise Peshawar Zalmi has once again signed actor Mahira Khan as its brand ambassador for the ongoing 8th edition of the tournament, the franchise said on Friday.

Khan has been associated with Zalmi for the last six seasons of the PSL. Aside from brand promotion, both on and off camera, she has also been featured in several Zalmi anthems, including the latest official one called, “Zalmi Raalal,” a teaser for which was also released on Friday. 

“Peshawar Zalmi has announced Mahira Khan as its brand ambassador yet again for the HBL PSL Season 8,” Peshawar Zalmi said in a statement. 

“With the release of the final teaser for Zalmi Raalal - Zalmi Anthem for 2023, powered by TCL, Peshawar Zalmi has announced the continuation of Mahira Khan’s association with the franchise through the teaser video of Zalmi anthem for PSL 8.”

The franchise added that it took “immense pride” in proclaiming Khan as Zalmi's brand ambassador, as its fans each year eagerly await her appearance in Zalmi anthems as well as in supporting the team on the ground.

The PSL 2023 kicked off at the Multan Cricket Stadium on February 13. On Tuesday, Peshawar Zalmi defeated Karachi Kings in the second match of the tournament.

Following the playoffs, the PSL final is scheduled to be played at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on March 19.
